Dough Roller Reopens In March

After burning to the ground on March 30th, 2008 the Dough Roller located at South Division Street and the Boardwalk is anticipating a reopening date of March 15th, 2009. Having been in the construction business for forty years I can say without a doubt that removing a burned out restaurant and rebuilding it in one year is amazing. Much credit should be given to the general contractor Gillis Gilkerson, the sub-contractors, and the management of the Dough Roller.
The new restaurant will be 9800 square feet in size and will have a similar exterior to the other five Dough Roller restaurants. Dough Roller will be back up to five restaurants in Ocean City and one in Crofton, Md. The original Dough Roller restaurant on 3rd Street and the Boardwalk was purchased by the Gibbs family in 1980. It was originally the Breakers Hotel. After renovating the Breakers front porch into a restaurant the Dough Roller started their climb to the top of the restaurant business in Ocean City.
